There’s something I keep noticing in sports & marketing…
Everyone says they want “the next Kings League.” But what brands are really chasing is relevance they’ve lost themselves. Real innovation in sports doesn’t necessarily come from a new format. It comes from letting go of old assumptions. About who the fan or audience really is. About how attention and content work today. About how much control you think you need.
As long as brands and rights holders keep treating sport as something to manage, instead of something you experience together with fans, “innovation” will keep feeling like a clever concept.
Disruption isn’t a format you copy. It’s a choice you dare to make.
